With warm sunny days now upon us, I have been on the look out for a few stand out pieces to update my summer wardrobe. The shops are inundated with lots of beautiful pieces as always but the trends that have specifically caught my eye this season are embroidery and ruffles. I love the touch of fun and femininity embroidery and ruffles can add to what might initially be a rather structured item whilst still remaining chic and sophisticated.
Whilst cuddling my gorgeous baby girl I have found myself perusing my favourite stores online when I came across this little embroidered and ruffle blouse from Zara. I believe this beautiful blouse is an absolute gem that ticks all the boxes when it comes to incorporating embroidery and ruffle trends. I love how the embroidery detail injects a splash of colour and the way the ruffles on the shoulders frame the embroidery adding an elegance to the design.
Here I have paired this little embroidered and ruffle blouse with dark wash denim jeans from Zara and tan rope detailed flats from Next keeping the outfit simple allowing the embroidered blouse to really stand out as the main statement item of this outfit. This embroidered and ruffle blouse could easily take you from day to night as it would also look great paired with heels and a clutch bag so great for summer events!
