I don’t know of any girl who doesn’t want their skin to look beautifully air brushed and flawless. For me I love a flawless finish but that is as natural and skin like as possible. I have three firm favourites when it comes to base makeup that I think fit these requirements perfectly and so I thought it was about time I gave them the required attention they deserve.
Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua
If you have been reading my blog for a while and watched my youtube videos, you will know that I adore Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. It is such a beautiful foundation. So much so that I wore this foundation on my wedding day. It is a water based liquid foundation that is ultra light and silky on the skin, that blends with ease without pulling or drying and gives a very natural perfected finish with a gorgeous lit from within glow.
Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint
For good skin days, the Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint is lovely as it gives that pretty dewy, luminous finish with a subtle tint to perfect the skin. It is enriched with a blend of natural source vitamin E, borage and avocado so really packed full of wonderful skin nourishing ingredients. The texture itself is thick and creamy but not at all heavy on the skin but unlike your other tinted moisturisers it does need slightly more work to blend it into your skin but the finish is well worth the extra few seconds.
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel Cream
This tinted moisturiser is wonderful. A true hybrid between skin care and makeup that provides a decent sheer to medium coverage with a soft dewy finish. What I love about the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue tinted gel cream is the beautiful radiant finish it provides but that it also has hydrating benefits. Bare Minerals claim that this little gem can boost skin hydration by 215% in a week. A bold claim for sure but I have honestly noticed a difference in the texture of my skin since using this. My skin is much smoother, perfected and more even since using this. I love love love this tinted gel cream and with the addition of Spf 30 it protects the skin from the sun as well. What more could you want!
What you may noticed from my top 3 “foundations” is that I love a natural dewy glow when it comes to choosing base makeup but I think even the oily skin girls out there would love these choices as there is certainly a difference between shiny and dewy. These bases are not shiny at all. They just give your skin that wonderful healthy radiance whilst providing subtle coverage and also do not clog your pores. If you like a light to medium coverage with a soft lit from within glow then I think you would absolutely love these base makeup picks.
