So summer is finally here and the sun is shining so beautifully so it is a great excuse to change up the products in your makeup bag. I love fresh, light, glowy and golden makeup for summer. Makeup that just gives the effect of a more polished and put together you but that looks effortless and natural.

Now if you have read a recent post of mine talking all about “my top base makeup choices” this may come as no surprise that I love to use a tinted moisturiser and the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue tinted hydrating gel cream in particular. I won’t talk too much about it here but if you want to read more in detail about it click on the link here to read my recent post about it. It is a beautiful light tinted moisturiser that adds a sheer to medium coverage but in such a gorgeous natural way that looks just like a second more beautiful skin that has a lit from within glow. It is so comfortable to wear, lasts really well and is hypoallergenic so perfect for even the most sensitive skin.

The Chanel Correcteur Perfection concealer is beautifully creamy and yet highly pigmented so great to conceal any pesky blemishes and yet doesn’t look cakey. The combination of using a tinted moisturiser and then only spot concealing with concealer allows your skin to look ultra perfected and yet natural. Excellent!

Eye Liner

I have been absolutely loving the L’Oreal Super Liner to line my top lash line. I really enjoy how versatile liquid liner can be depending on how thick or thin you draw the line as you can really change up your look very quickly from adding a statement through a wing or a super subtle thickness to the lashes. The L’Oreal Super Liner is easy to use due to it’s flexible felt tip nib so makes it really simple to draw on your eyeliner.

It’s always about Mascara for me. I love beautifully voluminous and long lashes with any kind of look and so this is no exception. L’Oreal come up trumps again in this category and their False Lash Super Star Mascara adds great definition, volume and length.

Summer is the perfect excuse for bronzer and a great way to fake that sun kissed golden glow look without exposing your skin to the sun. One of my favourite products are the bronzing pearls from Natural Collection. I have used them for years along with a few others favourites that I have used more recently such as Soleil tan de Chanel and Nars Laguna Bronzer but for a budget friendly option with a little more glow, the Natural Collection’s sun tint bronzing pearls are really good. They have a sort of pearlescent effect on the skin and apply smoothly using a soft kabuki brush but are quite pigmented so a light hand is key and build up slowly.

So this is probably the most fun part of this makeup and I have an absolute star of a highlighter that has been a recent addition to my collection (yes I do have a few but no you can’t ever have too many 😉 ). The Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector highlighter in Moonstone is brilliant. A pressed powder luminizer described to be “like crushed gemstones in a compact”. Now that is a very bold claim but this highlighter is truly beautiful. It is so finely milled it blends seamlessly into the skin adding that gorgeous glow to the high points of the face. I absolutely love this highlighter.

Coral’s are great for summer as they add that lovely brightening effect to your makeup look. Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Romance is my ultimate favourite Lipstick of all adding a subtle boost of colour to the lips with a little bit of shine as the name would suggest. The formulation of this lipstick range from Chanel is beautiful as it is creamy and moisturising and so ultra comfortable to wear too.

What are your favourite products for a quick summer everyday makeup look?
