These little beauties landed on my desk a few weeks ago after kindly being sent them by House of Fraser and I thought over the festive season it would be a wonderful opportunity to try them out. Although I am not what you would call a mature woman being only 26, I like to take care of my skin as I believe prevention is better than cure when it comes to skin care. The Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules promise to ‘restore essential lipids under the surface of your skin to help strengthen your skin’s barrier against damage associated with age and environmental exposure’ which has got to be a good thing; even if it is a bold claim.
Firstly, I love the packaging! The gold makes them look so gorgeous sat on your dressing table. The capsules are easy to use as you just squeeze and twist the top to reach the goodness inside. Each capsule is designed to be single use. However, I find that there is slightly too much product in each capsule for a single application and so I stretch it to two. Using each capsule for two uses works perfectly for me. Although, I do wonder whether the quality of the second application will be as good as the first as the capsules are then exposed to air which may change the properties of the product if it oxidises. I haven’t personally noticed much of a difference in using it twice.
The product itself is a thick dry, gel like serum which feels wonderfully luxurious upon application on the skin. It sinks in beautifully, smoothing out the skin and leaves no residue apart from supple moisturised skin.
Having used these religiously over the last couple of weeks, I have noticed a vast improvement in the texture and luminosity of my skin. Any marks have reduced and my skin is much smoother and more glowy.
They are rather pricy at £64 for 60 capsules (which you can buy here) but I have fallen head over heels for them and would highly recommend these capsules if you are looking to give your skin the ultimate treat as they really do deliver on their promise and provide visible results.
Have you ever tried the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules? What do you think?
